EXPLOSIA, a.s.

Explosia was founded in 1920 as Czechoslovak joint-stock company for the production of explosive substances in Semtin near Pardubice. Since its founding, it has become a symbol of tradition and innovation in the field of explosives production. Over the decades, it has gone through significant challenges, but has always maintained its reputation as a reliable and qualified leader. Today, as a 100% state-owned company, Explosia proudly holds the position of a key supplier of industrial explosives and ammunition, and with the help of the Fospol division, it also provides comprehensive drilling and blasting work, especially in open-pit mining of aggregate. Another essential part of Explosia is the Research Institute of Industrial Chemistry (VÚPCH), which has been providing research and development in the field of explosives and ammunition for more than 70 years.
